Joyful and contemporary traditions

In the summer of 2024, the third Fiskars Village Art & Design Biennale ran in Fiskars Village, the birthplace of the Fiskars company. The main exhibition, “Surprise Guest”, brought a group of contemporary artists and design brands together in the historic Granary building. Inspired by the Finnish villa culture, the Old Granary transformed into an atmospheric summer villa with various experiential spaces.

We collaborated with Fiskars’s creative team and artist Marc Camille Chaimowicz to design and build a unique kitchen installation for the exhibition. This playfully conceptual kitchen highlighted the Fiskars All Steel range and showcased how high-quality tools can make cooking a joyful experience, even in the minimalist setting of a summer kitchen.
